Review TORKER Bmx School Long Frame Sep Redline Allen Bolt Stem Forks

The Redline BMX School Torker 280x Frame, manufactured in September 1983, is a classic piece of BMX history. This vintage frame boasts a robust 28-inch diameter, perfect for riders seeking a balanced blend of speed and control. Constructed from high-quality steel, the frame showcases Redline's legendary durability, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of off-road riding.

The frame features a traditional top tube design with a neatly curved downtube, giving it a timeless look that's instantly recognizable. The seat tube is sloped for easy mounting and dismounting, while the chainstays are sturdy enough to handle the power and torque generated by modern BMX drivetrains.

The Redline Allen Bolt Stem forks that accompany this frame are another testament to the brand's commitment to quality. These forks are equipped with Allen bolt clamps, ensuring a secure and reliable connection to the frame. The forks are also drilled for brake and headset cable routing, providing additional versatility for modern riders looking to upgrade their components.

The Redline BMX School Torker 280x Frame is more than just a piece of retro BMX gear. It's a symbol of a bygone era of BMX racing, freestyle, and fun. Whether you're a collector, a restorer, or a rider looking for a unique and nostalgic ride, this vintage Redline BMX School Torker 280x Frame with Allen Bolt Stem forks is an excellent addition to any BMX enthusiast's collection.

Pros of buying a BMX School Torker 280x frame (1983 Redline Allen bolt stem, forks included):

1. Vintage appeal: The frame is a classic BMX bike from the 80s, which can add a unique and nostalgic touch to your collection or riding experience.

2. High-quality materials: Redline was known for producing durable and high-quality frames, and this Torker 280x model seems to be no exception.

3. Rare find: This specific frame and stem combination is a rare find, which can make it a valuable addition to your collection.

Cons of buying a BMX School Torker 280x frame (1983 Redline Allen bolt stem, forks included):

1. Age and wear: The bike is over 30 years old, which means it may have some signs of wear and tear, including rust, dents, and damaged components.

2. Compatibility issues: Older BMX bikes may not be compatible with modern components, such as tires, brakes, and pedals, which could require additional investment to replace or modify.

3. Potential for safety concerns: Older bikes may not meet current safety standards, so it's essential to ensure that all components are in good condition before riding.

Recommendation:

If you're a collector or a BMX enthusiast looking for a vintage piece, the BMX School Torker 280x frame (1983 Redline Allen bolt stem, forks included) could be a great addition to your collection. However, it's essential to do your research and inspect the bike thoroughly before purchasing to ensure that it's in good condition and that you're aware of any potential compatibility issues or safety concerns. If you plan to ride the bike, make sure to invest in modern components that meet current safety standards. Ultimately, the decision to buy this frame depends on your personal preferences, budget, and riding goals.

Details:

Doesn't seem to major but I wouldn't know and not a bike guy. The main frame looks pretty good and all true straight. Pre-owned and vintage items will have wear signs of age.

Every device or computer screen is different as far the graphics display colors so can be slightly. Everything all together as shown weighs a total of 10 lbs. Possibly why someone was enticed to put some decals on it back in the day but had used redline which I removed and also through me off doing research what bike.

Bmx old school Torker 280X long frame Tenn sep redline 6 allen bolt stem forks with seat post clamp and chain. My home is a smoke and pet free but the item could have been found came from another source. Only marking I could find was a couple g-9 stamped markings on the side links.

Estate find. Any questions just shoot me a message. Also found a few small cracks inside the bottom bracket as shown which didn't seem to effect anything when bike was together and operated nicely. Does have some minor pitting and very light rust in a couple of the areas.

If you do not see it in the pictures then its included. Could use a light cleaning from storage. Light surface scratches also. Chain is included also and not sure how to pop a link or however you do that remove it.

I didn't see any repair areas but did find a crack on each side where the top frame meets up with neck area and its those two flat pieces oval cut-out is piece toward rear.

The 1 picture of bike fully assembled is what it looked like before parting out and for reference only. Just the top frame measures 19 and height from bottom of bracket to main is 10. Being sold as is, found, uncleaned.

Please view the pictures closely and use photos for condition. Do your research to know what you are buying before. The redline stem looks good but allen bolts have some rust developing on end tips as shown.

Nice bike for parts or restoration repair being sold as found. Fresh from the pacific northwest.
