They are old - whether new or used. They were never works of art. About mike frays: 1976 and '84 us Olympic team manager 19-time world pan American championship coach frays has been involved with the sport of cycling all his life.
They were practical, usable items. They can have dust, dirt, bugs, oxidation, etc. Bicycle parts are not stored in climate controlled rooms or vaults.
