Speaking of which, the pulleys sport Shimano logo for good luck. Not index compatible, friction shifting only. Anodizing on the aluminum looks very good but for a few small scratches. Good to very used condition.

Total gear capacity 28t. Pulleys show some wear. Features include anodized aluminum finish, brass-bushing pulleys, a drop-parallelogram design, and sprung upper lower pivots. Vintage actual weight 222g.

Maximum chaining difference 13t. No model number or date code on rear. The Crane was Shimano first really high-performance derailleur. Shimano Crane rear derailleur,called this a servo-pentagram as it allowed the upper pulley to track cog teeth better.

It was part of the earliest Duran-ace group set. Chrome on pivot bolts is peppered and flaked in a couple spots. Parallelogram pivots are slightly worn. Maximum rear cog 28t.
