Details:

All parts are the original 110 year old pieces, however, the brake arm strap is missing. Later hubs had the new Departure name in tiny print stamped on the hub and were referred to as a Model a brake the hub had never been apart prior to it coming into my possession.

The eight balls inside the cog driver were replaced and the hub was greased and reassemble then tested. This is a rare, early, first year Model without the name or Model stamped on the hub. This brake was the first American made coaster on the market shortly after the turn of the century.

Over its life the nickel plating has worn off but it would be a prime candidate for replanting if you want a restoration perfect hub. It works perfectly just as it did 110 years ago. For your antique bike restoration project new Departure Model 1903 coaster brake 36 with spoke holes.
