History as I remember: the Gitane Interclub model was an early 1970s starter racing bike often supplied with setup tires 700c size and aluminum cranks later on. This was very thin good light tubing but not nearly as prestigious the Reynolds 531 or Columbus used on upper range model's. Nice chrome plated fork crown. French dimension 22.

Also standard stems that are 22. These one will do the job nicely. Quill insert in steerer - 1970s fits 27 inch and 700c wheels easily.

Prestigious very light at just 780 grams. Many came with 27 inch clincher tires as well. This fork will not fit ISO, British or Italian threaded headsets.

The bike was noted as a cut above basic model's it built with french drift lightweight tubing. 2mm will not fit. Gitane Interclub model fork - seamless french threaded 25x1mm x stems are on if needed.

The forks may also be made of drift but it not they do utilize seamless lightweight tubing unlike Peugeot and other similar brands era.
