Review SHIMANO Dura ace Rare Vintage Used Group

The Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 R7000 Groupset is a high-performance cycling component that epitomizes Shimano's dedication to innovation and excellence. The Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 R7000 Rear Derailleur, specifically, is a key component of this groupset.

The Dura-Ace 7200 Rear Derailleur is designed for smooth and precise shifting, even under the most demanding conditions. It features Shimano's proprietary Shadow RD technology, which positions the derailleur closer to the bike frame, reducing the risk of damage during off-road riding or in tight corners. The derailleur's cable routing is also designed to minimize friction, ensuring quick and accurate shifts.

The Dura-Ace 7200 Rear Derailleur is made from high-quality materials, including cold-forged aluminum and carbon fiber, which contribute to its lightweight yet robust construction. Weighing just 190 grams, it's one of the lightest in its class, yet it's built to withstand the rigors of competitive cycling.

The derailleur's pulley wheels are also noteworthy, with a larger diameter and a unique design that reduces friction and improves chain engagement. This leads to smoother shifting and less wear on the chain, ensuring that your drivetrain stays in top condition for longer.

In terms of aesthetics, the Dura-Ace 7200 Rear Derailleur is a work of art. Its sleek design and polished finish make it a standout component on any bike. But beyond its looks, this derailleur is all about performance. It's designed for riders who demand the best, who push their limits and expect their equipment to perform at the highest level.

In conclusion, the Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 R7000 Rear Derailleur is a testament to Shimano's commitment to innovation and performance. Its advanced technology, high-quality construction, and smooth shifting make it a top choice for competitive cyclists and enthusiasts alike.

Cons of buying Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 groupset:

1. High price point: Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets are among the most expensive options on the market, which may be prohibitive for some cyclists with a limited budget.

2. Limited color options: The Dura-Ace 7200 groupset is primarily available in black, which may not appeal to cyclists seeking a more colorful or personalized appearance.

3. Potential for overkill: For recreational cyclists, the Dura-Ace 7200 groupset may offer more performance than necessary, leading to an unnecessary investment in components.

Conclusion:

The Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 groupset is an excellent choice for competitive cyclists and enthusiasts seeking the highest level of performance and durability. Its advanced technology, such as hydraulic disc brakes and improved shifting precision, makes it an attractive option for those seeking the best. However, its high price point and limited color options may deter some cyclists. Ultimately, the decision to purchase the Dura-Ace 7200 groupset depends on your budget, performance requirements, and aesthetic preferences.

Recommendation:

If you are a competitive cyclist or enthusiast who values top-tier performance and durability, the Shimano Dura-Ace 7200 groupset is an excellent investment. Its advanced technology and sleek design make it a worthwhile addition to any high-performance bicycle. However, if the price point is prohibitive or if you require more color options, you may consider alternative groupsets that offer comparable performance at a lower cost.

If you re having an emergency then communicate with me and we ll talk. I give a fair and honest and I will not knowingly send out something that is defective. Even if boxed and sealed they can still show signs of age. Note also there's some old lube dirt around the pedal crank interface, toe clip mount toe clip interface and a few other spots.

Though Shimano produced a specific scalloped headset wrench for this and the 600ex groups, the more traditional 32mm headset wrenches will work just as well for these headsets. The brake hoods are a bit dry but still quite pliable.

The headset lower race has two tool marks along with some tool marks on both cups removal and some tool marks on the lockout, nothing major but I wanted to note this. Lower headset race cup bearing surfaces are perfect as is the upper race cup.

6 dbl no code brake calipers standard reach cl brake levers standard cl headset please understand that nos or new old stock doesn necessarily mean show bike perfect and free of blemishes or imperfections.

Shipping cost on the front listing page is for domestic shipping. There's some very light scuff on the undersides of the pedal bodies I didn't take pics of that but they're pretty clean. 13 oz or less I will add first class. 2 eh stem 100mm x 22.

On a scale of 1 10 i'd give it a 9.

Shimano dura ace ex group mod rare vintage no hubs cassette for sale is a reduced Shimano dura ace ex mod 7200 group no hubs, chain or cassette. No pulley wear.

The bottom bracket is also excellent with no tool marks on the locking, adj cup or fixed cup.

This group was removed from an Italian frame that was ridden what looked like maybe 100 miles, if that. This is a Italian threaded group except for the pedals.

The only wear on the derailleurs is tad bit of chain wear on the rear Dee outer, upper cage plate and a bit on the front Dee outer cage plate. Very rare to find this group in this condition. The hadst lockout has a few tool marks from the initial adjustment. There's a mark and some scratches on the upper cup.

The cranks are clean but note some very light surface scratches on the inside of the inner chaining.

The stem has some insertion marks and a few spots along the top rt side of the extension and the seat post has a few small insertion marks about 1 above the a in max and on the right side. 4 x 24 ital ch seat post eh a few notes about the headset and BB. Can't give it a 10 because it was mounted on a frame fork. All of it will clean up very easily with a spot of simple green or some other water soluble decrease.
