This bike was barely used, repainted, and then stored until y2k. These older bikes had such hard gears that as soon as a rider wan't riding a few years they could not get these 42 tooth chaining bikes up our local climbs that are very steep. Check the photos.

Throw in age and weight gain and people just quit riding until lower gears came along and bikes lost five pounds. This is a dura ace 7401 model rear derailleur from an Italian made vainer brand road bike sold with a dura ace six speed grippe including a six speed sis dura ace freewheel subset. 85 '86 the plastic pulley wheel looks very fresh.
