Details:

There are a couple or moderate scratches, nicks, and scuffs on the body. All in all, a great functional stem which suited my track bicycle before I acquired a deeper drop stem of a similar length , but which is longish for me to imagine using on a road bicycle where hand braking is so necessary. Nearly insignificant for a full inch of extension up above maximum insertion. There is fine scratching, which I think was clearly caused by a burr on some handlebars, across the inside of the clamp area.

Really, there is some abrasion above the insertion line, but not much.

Slight scratching from insertion. There are some minor chips around the edge of the clamp area. Finally, there is a moderately sized chip off the of topmost point of the stem body, adjacent to the hole where the bolt fits.
